Hello everyone! I haven't written a newsletter for ages but there are so many new things going on in the studio this summer and into the fall that I needed to let everyone know about. First of all you can come dancing with us at Henderson Mall this Saturday, July 17. Here is an approximate schedule: - 1:00 General dancing and couples demonstrations
- 1:30 Staff show and General dancing
- 2:00 Group Class - our regular 2:00 group class from the studio and an additional class for beginners
- 2:45 General dancing
- 3:00 Staff show
Come on in, cheer us on and dance the afternoon with everyone at the mall. It should be a fun time. The staff are dancing at Leigh Square in Port Coquitlam behind the city hall just off Shaughnessy Saturday, July 24 at 2:45 in the afternoon. Come cheer for us! We have also decided the date for our annual Spotlight Ball in the studio. It is going to be on Saturday, August 28 at around 6:30 pm. We will have performance routines from students and staff, freestyle demonstrations and lots of general dancing. It\\'s a great event to bring your friends or family that you want to show off your dancing to! We are now ordering jackets and pullovers. We have a rack of them with the available sizes for everyone to try on for sizing and we will order them within the next 2 weeks. Many people have been asking us if we can do a new order of them and now is the time! Later this fall there will be a charity event for the Crossroads Hospice that we have been asked to participate in. The event is called Dancing With Our Stars for the Coquitlam/Tri-Cities area. It will be held on Saturday, October 16 at the Terry Fox Theatre in Port Coquitlam. Some of the prominent local business people, politicians and media people have agreed to participate so you might see some familiar faces around the studio over the summer as they prepare for the big night. More details and tickets will be available in the early autumn if it's something you think you would like to attend for a good cause. Of course we will be having our annual Medal Ball this fall as well. We do not have the official date yet but it will be sometime in November. We will keep you posted as to when the date is so that you can be sure to attend. Well, that's about it. Lots of activity this year over the summer.
